Brave Bellies
We were introduced as baby belly dancers. Some of the boldest from my beginners belly dance class performed in public for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It has taken me this long to work up the nerve to look at the photos.
Mine was not the biggest belly. It was not the best belly. But it was a brave belly.

Definitely a very brave belly. There are some belly dance classes at the Y here, and they are supposedly a lot of fun, but I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to attend. I'm glad you were, and I'm glad you enjoyed yourself :)
I've been going to classes on and off for years, but just this last year have become very passionate about it. The dancing is fun, the music interesting and the costumes are fabulous. Much better than the standard gym wear. And the entire process makes even shy bellies feel beautiful...and they are!
I've known bloggers engaged in learning belly dancing, it’s apparently very good exercise and sounds like a lot of fun. Some even go on and compete in championships, becoming quite passionate about their dancing.
Best wishes
Brave Girl you are. Next you'll be putting on a two piece bikini and hittin the beach.
Those costumes are so lovely that I might even give it a go one of these days....but no pictures or spectators.
Merry Christmas Kathleen and family. Have a wonderful Christmas down under!
