You are right, it does look pink. It is actually more ivory, just the backing of the wallpaper. The carpet is beige. That room is the dining area that is open to the kitchen. It is too small for our dining suite, so we use it as a lounge. The proper lounge (where the shot was taken from) is now our very large dining room. It opens to deck at the front of the house.

She has my sympathies. We're currently repainting our living room, and what a mess! I get a headache just thinking about it...
