Whangarei From Mount Parahaka
This is part of the view of Whangarei from the top (about 250 m high) of Mt Parahaka. The hill is part of a large reserve park and can also be accessed by road. We hiked up the trail. We are so proud of Alana for walking all the way to the top on her own two feet, without complaining!

That looks like a big city. How may people live there? Way to go Miss A
There are maybe 50,000 people in the city. The District (of which we are a part) has a total pop. near 70,000.
Without whining! Way to go A! That must have been a proud parent moment.
Excited parents! We will tackle Mt. Manaia next.
